Price Raising of Currency
" GGG could set limits to trade ratios by introducing more vendor currency trades. Like: 1 Ex : 40 chaos. 1 Ex: 60 fusing (these numbers don't have to be fair, obviously). That way the Exalted price on the market would always be below 1:40, 1:60 (because if it went higher, players would simply use the vendors) This is not "forcing certain ratios", it is more of a "guiding" approach and would prevent crazy inflation. PoE already did this with 5L/6L Vorici. A 6L can now not be worth more than 1500 fusing (+base item). If it costs more, you pay it yourself. Governements do this all the time irl. You can debate for hours wether this is a good idea or not, of course. ;) On a side effect, it would provide selffound players a way to obtain Exalted orbs. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Last edited by Peterlerock on Nov 28, 2014, 4:18:59 AM

" Bad idea. | |
We dont need socalism in this game.
| |
Except that this "socialism" is already in the game, and nobody is complaining about it.
The Alt-Jew-Fusing vendor chain and the other fixed vendor rates are setting up clear boundaries in exchange rates. Never will a fusing be worth more than 4 jewellers. Never will a regret orb be worth more than 8 chance orbs. Etc. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Last edited by Peterlerock on Nov 28, 2014, 6:59:51 AM

BUMP .. trying to protect the newbs from being scammed by the flippers trying to force a price raise of currency
1 exalt equals 13 regrets/32/chaos/40 fusing. dont let the flippers force you into believing anythign else. |

1 exalt equals what poeple pay for it, no more, no less.
I mean, I farm tons of alts, jewelers and fusings a day, also quite some chaos. For all these there is a vendor recipe and they drop frequent. Exalts on the other hand are rare (got like 2 or 3 from drops on all characters in total) and desired as trading equivalent. In standart as time passed nad keeps on passing: Alt/Chaos/Fuse accumulate if not used in great amounts, while Exalteds still drop less and have no recipe. So it is just normal development over time. Also each temporary league dumps Chaos/Alts/Jewelers/Fusings into standart and poeple tend to store exalts in their standart league bank mostly before next league and are happily willing to pay "worthless" currency for the exalts. Another example: Alchemy became just meh (was like 1Chaos/2 Alchemy some time ago but Alchemy is only needed in lower amounts) It's all supply and demand. |

" if you are selling exalts it is a great deal. If not to many people are selling exalts then the price will naturally rise. Take a seat at the table. |
