Vaal Orbing Currency

Totally out of left field idea, but what if you could corrupt currency for super crazy or disappointing results.

Corrupt currency could do all sorts of weird things and some examples follow.

Corrupt Chromatic
Results will contain at least 2/3/4 of Red/Blue/Green slots
Results may contain a white slot
All colors will change
No effect
The currency is destroyed

Corrupt Alchemy
Results will contain one fire based affix
Results will contain one gem level affix if applicable
Results have a higher chance of being of a higher tier
Results have a higher chance of being of a lower tier
Results will contain at least one resistance affix
No effect
The currency is destroyed

Corrupt Regal
Will add two affixes instead of one
Can only add a prefix
Can only add a suffix
Will add a resistance affix
Results have a higher chance of being of a higher tier
Results have a higher chance of being of a lower tier
No effect
The currency is destroyed

Corrupt Fusing
Increased chance of linking sockets
Decreased chance of linking sockets
At least 3/4/5 linked sockets (5 being exceptionally uncommon)
Will not consume quality
No effect
The currency is destroyed

The potential effects go on and on.

The only issues I am finding are with why vaal orbs were likely introduced in the first place. Low and mid-level and common uniques are vaal'd a lot for stronger versions while not breaking the bank. The high end are only vaal'd from the rich and can afford to get that amazing mod combo after a couple dozen tries. They effect rares in a similar manner when only the rich will bother vaaling perfect rolled high tiered mods. Gems are mostly only vaal'd at 20/20 hoping to make it better. Maps are also typically to make quantity high but usually accompanied by plenty of negatives.

There is already plenty vaal orbs have uses for and your corrupt currency would just do things too similar to the current normal currency. Only these wouldn't be stacking and fill up a ton of stash space.
