Bug selling Quality gems to vendors. (40Q vendor receipe)
Today i wanted to get rid of my Q14 Gems as they dont sell.
so i wanted to sell em to the Vendor. i put 20 Q14 gems in the sell window . thats 280 Quality. Divide that by 40 (40Q = 1 gcp) it should give 7 gcp. the stupid vendor cant count tho, because he just wanted to give me 6gcp and 2 Scroll fragments This thread has been automatically archived. There is no 280 Quality = 7 GCP recipe. There is only a >40% Qual = 1 GCP recipe.
14+14+14 = 42 -> 1 GCP 14+14+14 = 42 -> 1 GCP etc. After 18 Gems (6 recipes), this leaves you with: 14+14 = 28 -> 0 GCP Working as intended. | |
thats not true. its Q40 receipe
8 * q5 = Q40 = 1gcp 2*Q6 + 2*Q14 = Q40 = 1gcp 2*q7 + 2* q13 = Q40 = 1gcp ... ... ... any combination of quality that is Q40 is 1 gcp. so 20*Q14 = Q280 should also be 7 gcp but it gives 6gcp a 2 crappys but i understand the logic you tried to explain. its still wrong. |

It matters what order you put the gems into the vendor, you you put them all in randomly the game starts making sets of 40% going from the top left corner to the bottom left, once you reach 40% or over the remainder of a gem is disregarded and it skips to the next one and starts again.
The order viper has shown you is an example of essentially what the game sees when you vendor gems in that order, it's not going by the total % value divided by 40% but tallying up and dumping the remainder if you have for instance 14+14+14 that extra 2% disappears and is not counted to the rest of the recipes Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

14 + 14 + 14 = 42
3 Q14 = 1 gcp so, in your case: 14 + 14 + 14 = 1gcp 14 + 14 + 14 = 1gcp 14 + 14 + 14 = 1gcp 14 + 14 + 14 = 1gcp 14 + 14 + 14 = 1gcp 14 + 14 + 14 = 1gcp 14 + 14 = 2 scroll fragment --------------------------- 6 gcp + 2 scroll fragment there is no bug at all. |
