It does because it goes through the online stash in the upper left corner. I cracked open the source code and looked at it, and it's safe (Assuming that the source code posted is the same one that made the executable). Also if people got hacked after using this I think you'd hear about it. So the conclusion is that it seems safe, and nothing has ever happened, but you're still putting in email and password.

Edit: Forgot, you can also log in using session ID.
