Fun build ideas?

Just can't think of a build to do that's actually fun. (I found mjolner discharge fun)
I'm up for anything pretty much, but nothing to do with bows. I hate bows.....
Something endgame viable would be nice :D!

Leapslam + multistrike is fun

flicker multistrike, so good, much spam, wow desync

Have you considered using Queen of the Forest and Dreamfeather together in a duel wield elemental Cleave build? You can get over 60k dps in a 6L, although 20-30k dps in a 4 or 5L is a more realistic expectation for most people. What makes the build awesome is that it keeps you on your toes (you'll be jumping into the middle of mobs with Leap Slam and going at it) and it is super fast with a movement speed potential of over +100% (I'm at +118%). After using Queen of the Forest, everything else feels like molasses! This is easily one of the most fun builds I've played, especially when Multistrike and decent shock chance are factored in.

Whoa 4L for 20k?

And here I am using 2H mace, spending hours trading just to be able to get the dex needed for faster attacks. And chaos res since I made a mistake using Death's Oath so early (don't have the orbs to buy a 5L belly now.



Regarding Dreamfeather - is this the answer to "non dagger weapons are underpowered"?

Yep. With Cleave + Faster Attacks + Multistrike + Weapon Elemental Damage I actually get over 33k dps :) Granted, I have great gear and some lvl 21 gems at this point, but people who can afford the initial cost of two 2 aps Dreamfeathers, a high evasion Queen of the Forest, and an Alpha's Howl should be able to get over 20k no problem.

Well there are still powerful builds for all weapons, but I like to use builds that aren't dependent on crazy gear, which often means relying on gem leveling and auras for power. I like that with the Dreamfeather and QotF combo I can focus on evasion (along with aura nodes) and boost damage and defense at the same time. It's nowhere near as tanky as block builds, but I have a feeling we'll see some buffs to evasion or evasion related abilities in the future.

How about 2H swords? I think I'll go for those 2H unique swords for the 1week race - SC. But I want movement speed. Hmmm.

Rigvald's Charge and Terminus Est + Whirling blades, sounds good to me. I'll make my own tree this lunch.

Edit:
Terminus is 287.82 DPS, probably good for lvl51. But for merc act3... hmmm. PoE has no love for 2H swords? There's no enough 2H sword uniques :(

I guess i'll have to go for Oro's Sacrifice at end-game. Free cull sound nice.
