Following your steps, I was unable to replicate this bug in 1.3.0, though I am not aware of a specific fix for this. Please let us know if it continues to happen for you post-1.3.0.

The Vaal souls bugs have been fixed for 1.3.0 - pretty sure that's already been posted in the original threads a while back. Rhys was unaware of a specific fix because he was not involved in fixing it, not because it didn't happen.
