Is it just me or do fragment drops FEEL influenced by the time of day?

So I know the drop table is supposed to be pretty random and such.

But stuff like this keeps happening.

I've consistently gotten more of certain fragments around that time of day.

For example, of all the midnights I've ever gotten, all but one of them were found near midnight.

It might just be small sample size or observer's bias, but this stuff tends to happen.

My brother, who doesn't play this game but watches me sometimes, noticed the pattern too.

For example, I'm playing late at night, he sees me start a vaal area, *looks at watch* "I'll bet you'll get a midnight". I do. About 10 min later, another area, and he thinks I'll get a midnight here too. And I did.

Anyone else had something similar?

The Fragment names relate to time.

A GGG member previously stated that there was a "proper" way to farm fragments.

Sacrifice at Midnight is not really a sacrifice at midnight if it happens at dawn.

Maybe they are just names, or maybe they are time influenced.

Technically speaking this is true, as tidal forces from the moon do act on the liquids inside your body.

well if this was true I'd have a full stash of only midnights, since I have a day job and could only play after 11pm

a) its always around midnight on some place on earth ^^
b) I found a lot of 'dawns' but never play at morning
c) all my 'noons' didnt drop at their corresponding time

no pattern detected ;)
