Killed by bug in Beyond League

My character was killed by a bug that resulted when I accepted a retrieve corpse mission from Catarina. The minion that she spawned for me to escort did not have its chaos damage aura tagged as friendly to me, however it was friendly to my minions. It resulted in me dying before I could reach the statue to deliver the minion. I did not notice the aura was damaging me until I stopped to do inventory management (out of combat) and saw my health rapidly draining. By the time I realized it it was too late and I died and got moved to standard league. If my character could be moved back to the beyond league it would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

Just received a reply from support.

I am also aware of this message on your "Contact" page.

"We can not restore dead hardcore characters or lost items for any reason. This is a general policy and we do not make exceptions. Due to bugs, items may be lost or characters may die due to reasons outside of your control. Please do report these incidents in the Bug Reports forum, but do not contact support asking for restoration. We are working hard to fix the underlying problems so that such losses do not occur in the future."

Just so you know I am a rather new player to this game and so far have very much enjoyed my time with it. One thing I do value however is customer service. From what I see on steam and your website this game is considered "Full Release" meaning free of the Beta status which is for bug testing. Now I understand that during Beta testing things may be lost due to bugs, that is unavoidable, however being a "Full Release" according to steam means that the game should be mostly bug free and in the event of bugs there should be helpful support to resolving the issue. My character was killed by a bug which I state in my message, this was not my fault. Now one thing that really bothers me is say I had invested like 1000 hours into a character and it died due to this, my likely hood of re-rolling a new character and starting from scratch again would be about zero. I understand dying from desync, lag, internet issues, incompetence etc... but this was the fault of the game and REFUSING to restore a character when there is proof of the bug is simply wrong. How hard is it to change a league on a character? Probably a check box in an account management screen or something. I understand that people will cry bug all the time when they die and attempt to abuse the system but for a game company to take a stance like "You died cause of a bug? SO SORRY! We will not restore all the time you wasted due to OUR mistake in coding but we will forward your report onto the programming team so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Thanks for your report!" FYI most companies reward players for helping find and debug the bugs in their game. I was planning to actually buy some shop items once my character reached level 50, that is now out of the question.

So for me, this experience is most likely over as I do not like "wasting my time" playing a hardcore gametype that doesn't even work properly and offers no restitution upon dying to a failed game mechanic.

I've done enough Catarina missions to get mine to level 8, so I've done that mission many times. I never once thought it was a bug. I just thought it was a challenge to make the mission harder, just like spawning a bunch of enemies to attack you and the summoned creatures. What makes you so sure it's a bug? And why did it take you a death to notice you were losing life? I never died to it because once I saw what was happening, I adjusted my play.

The description of the Aura IIRC states "Damages enemies near the minion" or something like that. I also did that same exact mission for her daily less than an hour before that and DID NOT suffer damage from it. Under the assumption I was safe due to there being no monsters in the area and having 9+ summoned minions protecting me I decided to stop and look through my inventory, I was not paying attention to my health bar as my energy shield covers half of it. My shield was full and I never noticed the red bubble draining until it was too late. So if it intended then it needs to happen either all the time or none of the time. It cant damage me one mission and not the next one. Also if the Aura said what I think it said then it needs to be adjusted too because it is misleading. How did my zombies who have MUCH lower health than me not die from it if it supposed to damage everything around it?
