Town Portal Causes Pseudo Death

So I'm doing my Zana daily and I fill up on loot, 74 museum map that's mission cleared and mob cleared. I open a TP and go to sell my craps, and I notice all my auras mysteriously turned off. I turn them back on not thinking much of it right away, but then I look down again and notice I randomly lost 10% XP. I most assuredly did not die during this mission, I barely even got hit at all. The auras were up when I went in the portal and I had 21% XP on the level. The moment I got on the other side they were off and I had 11% XP. How could this happen from a zone change?
