Point Blank Question

When the projectiles are moving further out , and the dmg decreases , does the damage go below the normal threshhold of dps you would do, or does it simply diminish out until there is no bonus damage left from the 50% Bonus it gives.

Im kinda interested in this node, but not if things at a far away distance will actually take less damage than i am currently dealing.

For something similar without the drawback, maybe consider the Chin Sol unique bow?
