Help making a Crit EB/MoM (AA?) Lightning Tendrils build for Standard/Rampage.

So I've been wanting to make this build for a while, because Lightning Tendrils looked really cool and the small amount of time I played with it, it was really fun.
Since it's a new skill there aren't many build guides on the forums (Only 1 as of posting this) and since I don't have enough knowledge to completely make my own tree, I've used some other EB/MoM/AA build trees (They were mainly cold builds, but I edited them for lightning). Basically I've taken three different trees and made some modifications for Lightning Tendrils. They all have their ups and downs and I think the best tree for this build would probably be a mix of the three trees so I'm going to link the trees and you guys can tell me which one is the best and what modifications I would need to make to it for the best efficiency or you can link a whole other tree you made from scratch, if you want. Hi, your post is a few days old so I hope my response isn't considered thread necromancy, I understand that's generally frowned upon :P I had a look at the trees you posted, and in my opinion they had too much mana and to little life (119-130ish IIRC, I find that 140-150 is the floor for low strength builds). So I did as you suggested and created my won.

I dropped quit a bit of mana, added in a bit of life, and left the rest largely the same. I feel the inclusion of Unnatural Calm is important, I think with a large AoE spell like this the included +max elemental resists is extremely helpful when dealing with reflect, and the extra ES (Mana because EB) is a nice little cherry on top. I recommend running Purity of lighting, Clarity and Discipline as your auras. (PoL for reflect, and Clarity and Disc for mana) Keep in mind I haven't actually run this build, and crit is probably not the best for this skill (5% base cirt is meh) but I like crit :) I hope this post is helpful, and that others can shed some more light on the topic :) Good luck and have fun. |
