Has the addition of the Heralds rendered Wrath and Anger useless.

The Heralds add similar elemental damage to these auras while their mana reservation being way less.
With their additional nerf, it seems that you always would want a herald instead of these auras.

Am I correct?
Aura nodes affect auras.

So what? would you rather get herald effect for 25 mana and save points or invest like crazy and maybe get a 10% better effect?
Hrmm, I'm not sure.
For example, Hatred converts a % of Physical Dmg to Cold Dmg.
If your main source of damage is Physical, maybe
Hatred can still out play Herald of Ice in ways.
Herald of Ice is pretty great for dense mobs because of shattering and AoE,
but it probably falls short in ways as a single target buff.
Herald of Ice is definitely more economical than Hatred though.

Edit: Oh, you are being specific about Wrath and Anger :x
Hrmm, I don't think RIP Wrath and Anger, but maybe they
will get more niche. Flat elemental damage is probably still
desirable. The Heralds are attractive for group monster effects.
Wrath and Anger probably can be used more effectively in single
target situations.
TY to those who called me out on my BS on these forums. There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional.

These two depend on the build. Both have benefits that are applicable to specific builds.

Anger = Flat Damage : Herald of Ash = %Phys + Burn
Hatred = %Phys : Herald of Ice = Flat Damage + Shatter

Wrath and Herald of Thunder are a bit too similar.

Wrath has one saving grace, aura nodes that increase effectiveness and inner force cluster. Herald of Thunder is probably more useful for more builds though. Wrath is not dead, just niche.

Overall, each one has a place in the game that is different enough to have a place. They also have the benefit of it is not one or the other...you can do both.

No, Wrath and Anger are still king for raw DPS.

Wrath and Anger add far, far more DPS. If anything, Heralds have shored-up the gap in DPS for some elemental builds have after the nerfing of Wrath and Anger.

price/performance ratios has. 25% mana res is ridiculously cheap compared to 60%. you can run two for less than price of one.
