Scion elemental ST build: Herald of lightning vs wrath - Confused

Hi Guys,

I've had search through the forums and can't find a definitive answer on this.

Which is more power full in terms of dps? Apart from the party benefit what is the point of wrath? Herald of lightning seems to add more damage at a reduced mana reservation rate. Is there something i'm missing here?

Wrath adds much more damage to your attacks. Herald of thunder adds less passive damage, but has a fairly potent on-kill effect if scaled correctly.

It is not unlikely that you will be using both anyways.
