will these cover the ENTIRE hideout? or a small patch would rather not buy it only to find out it covers a 1x1cm sized square

I bought like 6 rains =0

In the preview videos for these microtransactions you can see the area that they cover. Rain and Leaves only have one variation but the light beam has a few different sizes.
