As you can see....this is clearly a cluster fuck lol.

My suggestion/solution (THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE AN AUCTION HOUSE THING, I HATE THAT IT RUINS THE PLAYER ECONOMY!)

Suggestion -

Split trade chat into two conversations. One part of trade chat is "WTB" and the other is "WTS". Here's where it gets slightly interesting though. Just there are are commands for party chat "%" there is a chat command for selling and trading "-" and "+". Instead of taking you to the conjoined chat you can choose to view one while typing in the other. So if you're trying to sell stuff you can see what people are currently trying to buy AND you can also list for people that are searching in the "WTS" section of chat.

I honestly think this would fix the cluster mess that is trade chat right now.

will make no difference, people will still spam the shit out of both the channels with the stuff they want to buy and sell...just the same as they do now with trade and general chat...GGG would need to enforce chat mutes and that just increases the workload.
