Reduced Mana rounding issue

level 19 rm on 60% auras and level 18 on 40% gets me less hp than level 19 on the 40%s and 18 on the 60%s

made a short video illustrating the issue

Working as intended.

Lv18 RM:
60 * 0.73 = 43.8, rounds to 43
40 * 0.73 = 29.2, rounds to 29

Lv19 RM:
60 * 0.72 = 43.2, rounds to 43 - no difference from lv18
40 * 0.72 = 28.8, rounds to 28 - 1% less than lv18

And for completness' sake:
Lv20 RM:
60 * 0.71 = 42.6, rounds to 42 - 1% less
40 * 0.71 = 28.4, rounds to 28 - same

Thanks, I didn't really do the math and just assumed it to work, I expected it to not change or get better, but never to get worse lol, I guess I was wrong

Edit: you're actually wrong, it always rounds up, not down, that's why I get less life

From what I know unless they ninja-changed it. EVERYTHING in this game rounds down. Nothing is rounded up at all anywhere ever. Gimme a bit and I'll see if I have the reduced mana gems at the right lvls to show this.

Edit: Okay sorry about not cropping but I really don't know how to do that.

This first one is with a lvl 19 RM. This means 25%*.72=18% or what is shown

This second one is with a lvl 10 RM. Or that is 25%*.81=20.25 which is shown to be 20%.
Activating the aura in this case leaves me 420/526 mana or 106 reserved.

Now doing the math to find out what percentage this is shows that it is actually reserving roughly 20.15% life. This is the case because if you went to say 105 reserved, it is reserving roughly 19.96% which means you are less than the 20% you should have. The game works by rounding down to a whole number in this case to as close as possible. For exactly 20% to be reserved it would have to be 105.2 mana which the game won't do.

My guess for what is happening to your life is that the percentage that should be reserved gives a decimal reservation, and therefore it is rounded up until it hits a whole number. It will still be less that rounding say 20.25 to 21 which for me would reserve 110.46 mana or something that is still not possible under this system.

The reduction rounds down. It only appears like it rounds up if you look at it from the perspective of how much is reserved.

Reduced/Less may also seem to round up because the game actually calculates the amount of reduction you gain, as opposed to applying as a multiplier.
Example: 16% reduction applies as 60 * 0.16 = 9.6, rounds to 9, 60 - 9 = 51%.
