What are the most enjoyable caster builds

except for totems, summoners, and pure rf builds. those are extremely boring

Depends on your taste. I like not aiming and big AOEs (basically being as mindless as possible; you'll notice this theme in my unique when it comes out, actually), so I like Discharge and Ice Nova. If you like facetanking, you might enjoy Incinerate. If you want to kite, perhaps Freezing Pulse or Arc might be more your thing. etc, etc, etc. What do you enjoy doing in this game?

i like being tanky, but decent damage i tried arc but i hate how it had absolutely no single target damage when i needed it.

Maybe try either Cybil's Incinerate or Flameblast then? Incinerate gets pretty tanky from having enormous block/spell block chance and the LGoH from Cybil's, and still puts out loads of damage; Flameblast doesn't have to invest much in damage nodes to deal plenty of damage so can afford to go tanky. Also helps that neither of them go crit.

I noticed you said except summoners... But I have to let you know that one of my favourite builds to play has to be summon raging spirit. Check out this guide if you want a really fun, very high DPS build to play:

You could try my freezing pulse build.
Tanky, nice DPS, good balance between single target and AoE damage. |

Also make sure you buy the spider mtx otherwise it's not worth it. Another quality ZAP! post.

Void arcer was a lot of fun for me, even without 2x void battery that the build advises (which is nuts anyways).

I recently leveled a frost crit build to 90, using mainly Ice Spear and some Freezing Pulse. Perma-freezing bosses including Palace Dom (not Atziri ofc) was pretty cool and makes for quite safe leveling. Shattering the whole screen feels very satisfying to boot.
