As someone that moved frequently in his youth, I can tell you that I had a hard time making close friends as I was always leaving. Now I lived in the same house for the longest of anywhere I have lived (almost 15 years.)
Friendships come in many levels. Some are fleeting even though you enjoy each others company, Some end bad, nothing you can do, but move on. The best I ever hoped for is a few close friends that despite distance and time are always happy to call you friend too. I got a few of those and I am content because of it.

And marry your best friend. Sex ends, looks fade, but still wanting to be around each other anyway is key.
