FPS drop

I have been noticing some pretty severe FPS drops in big fights, will get down to 29FPS sometimes. I am just curious if this is normal for this game, or if there is something wrong with my hardware somewhere. Normal fights and walking around I get a pretty steady 56-60 FPS.

Do you have v-sync enabled?

Try it without v-sync enabled, those dips in FPS might not be noticeable when they stop occurring in sync with your refresh rate. You could get a framerate limiter instead, if you want to conserve energy and reduce heat on a powerful GPU.
