Help choosing a build guide

I need help choosing a build guide that fits my budget. I'll have about 10-15 exalted after i sell my Drill neck, and another 20 chaos.

I hate dying and losing exp, and i really like to face tank (meaning i like to run up to enemies rather than take my time killing them from a distance) I'm running a Tornado Shot build right now, but im dying way too often. Im level 74 with only about 1.1k HP, and while the Drillneck helps, it doesnt help me not die.

I'd like a class with the most HP possible, and also, some good DPS.

I'm looking for suggestions on what build i should follow and one that comes a bit under my max budget. Thanks for all the help in advance. :)

I'm looking at this build atm. Thoughts?

It's pretty basic, just a vanilla aegis tank, it's probably fine if you like simple stuff.

Some things you might not like:
- he didn't post a video, but although his single target damage is most likely fine with his tanking ability, his AoE is probably slightly lacking, which means lower clear speed
- it requires having around 1K ES in addition to as high armor as possible, so it won't work very well with subpar gear.
- this means the build requires the following: more than decent 1H weapon, aegis, rainbowstrides, a great AR/ES chest and other various high-defense gear, check the prices and see if it fits your budget

Personally, I'd look some more, check out some EK builds in shadow section.

I really don't know what other build, but my EK Shadow is quite sturdy and have great clear speed: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1037994#p8945321 Probably, build is quite typical, ways to effectively link few needed notables are quite limited.

I can't really recommend any specific builds, but if you find something interesting post the links and we can tell how easy would it be to pull off and roughly what to expect.

As I have my own EKer, I can evaluate that those EK ones looks quite OKish. I would only add, that if you want to be really sturdy, you should invest into Lighting Coil, it can be tricky if you want also use high level AA and MoM, but doable.

I don't like CoC so can't answer about viability of 3rd of linked builds.

I can confirm that these builds work very well ;)

I wrote one of the guides and Cantrip and I share tips and have a similar build approach. If you have a little money to throw around, an Acrobatics/EB/AA/EK "tank" (avoidance character, technically) is awesome. It sounds like you want a simple point and click build, so use the Life Leech gem in your setup and you'll rarely need to use potions. To be super tanky, use Cloak of Defiance with Life Leech and Mana Leech.
