Great deals on games - American's and Canadians only!

Hey Guys,

I Just bought a few games from Origin (powered by EA) this morning, they seemed to be a really good price. I was planning on buying Battlefield 2: Bad Company anyway, so I think I got a bargin on this one...

Here are select EA PC games for $4.99:

Here are select Consol EA games with %40 off:

Let me know what you think!

Hmm it's not available to even view what's on sale here in NZ. Possibly USA only.

Oo, thats possible. I'm in Canada, so maybe it's Canada/USA.

Here's the main link, you may be able to view the deals through there.

Yeah I already tried that. There is no area of the site I can see that looks like a sale, and nothing on the catalogue is discounted.

Same here (germany) no (really) discounted games. There is a Area for discounted Games, but they are like
Battlefield Bad Company 2™ Vietnam for 12,99 EUR or NBA live 08 (!) for still 9,99 EUR...

Yeah those don't seem like good deals. Sorry about that. I assumed it would be a world wide EA event...

For you Canadian/Americans out there:
I bought 'Battlefield Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition' for $23.00 CDN and 'Army of Two: 40th Day' for $11.99 CDN. With that I got 'Need for Speed: Shift' for the PC version for free. AND If you were to buy these games for the PC, they were discounted to $4.99 each...which seems like a really good deal to me..

In the shops, these still sell for $30+ used here in Canada. So I think it's worth a look for your Canadian/Americans! Hopefully someone else can get some cheep games out of this!

Um. Don't use Origin. It's bad.

Why?

For one, you're not buying your game. This isn't like Steam's 'you own this game, you have it forever, and if we ever have to shut down we'll make sure you can still get your game'. Origin specifically tells you they can take away your game at any point, and WILL take it away if you don't play it once a year or so. (Did you read the EULA? At all?)

It'd probably be easier if I just linked you to a couple of the articles about the service. You can also Google it up and see what people are saying. In short, don't install things onto your computer, even a digital distribution service from a well-known company, without looking into it first.
