Friend is using this build right now, and for whatever reason when he turns on RF he degens health instead of regen'ing health. And at a fair rate as well. Why is it that the build itself causes RNG? I don't get how or why my friend should have to go out of his way to fix a build that works for other people. Any ideas? | |

Need to know a few things before the question can be answered:
1) Max Life 2) Max Energy Shield 3) % health regen from tree 4) Is the +1% max fire resist taken? 5) level of Purity of Fire 6) % increased effect of auras from tree 7) % increased effect of buffs from tree 8) Is there a +1% max resistances corrupt on an item? What level is his purity of fire? Got to have high enough level purity and the shield or else you can't beat the drain.

Same EXACT build as the other person who said basically that "some people degen and some people regen" The build works for some and not for others somehow. 3% from Purity, 1% from Barb, 8% from RoTP = 75+3+1+8 = 87% Resists
90% Max Life burned per second, 87% negated by Resists: 90 * 0.13 = 11.7% Max Life per second. 11.3% Regen < 11.7% Degen. There's a perfectly fine reason that it doesn't work for everyone - you need either more Regen (flat or percent), or a smidge of extra Regen. | |

A level 20 Purity gets you an additional 1% Max Res. 90 * 0.12 = 10.8% Degen. Simple as that.

Yeah, guess why I didn't suggest Inner Force at any point. :/
It's not broken. If you don't have sufficient flat regen from gear, you will slowly burn to death. SOME people have different GEAR than SOME other people, granting either +GEM LEVELS or FLAT REGEN (with RoTP you only need another 10 @ 4k Life).
