Patcher hanging

I'm trying to load up POE, and it brings me to a patch screen (patch size 9.64mb). However, it won't start; patcher hangs at 0.00% with 0b transfer speed, or hangs at "allocating space".

I have over 18GB worth of HD space available, and obviously I can get on the internet (after all, i'm posting here). Any thoughts?

Could be that the patching server is down?

Just came here to say the same exact thing.

About two hours ago, I tried to open PoE, and it showed the 9.64mb patch (which I ALREADY patched yesterday). It would download 5-20 bytes (yes, BYTES) every few seconds. I closed and restarted, and now have the same issue as OP.

EDIT: Wow, JUST posted this... I left the patcher open for 5-10 minutes. No activity. Then suddenly, PoE opens and all is fine!

It just started downloading now.

Same issue. I downloaded the patch last night around 11:10pm Eastern Time USA, and played with the new patch (100% damaged increase on herald of ice).

Now, 7:53pm EST, I cannot play.

Makes no sense because I already downloaded the patch last night.

Exactly this. I downloaded and played last night with zero issues.

Same issue here... Would be nice to play some tonight....

and it magically "finished". Took leaving the patcher open 8 minutes.

I'm thinking it's a traffic/gateway issue on the POE/server side (posting from North America).
