Devourers initial melee attack hit chance [updated with video]

I am willing to bet 100% that you die so much you can't even tell what can kill you anymore.

2.2k life in a Dark Forest map is ridiculous. That's all I can say.

It's fairly obvious to anyone playing an evasion character that devourers' emerging attack hits a lot more often than it should. It might be intentional though so I'm fine with it as long as it's manageable and currently it is at least in my opinion.

very tired of devourers. like take a break from the game tired of devourers. later peeps.
Hey...is this thing on?
Devourer annoyance aside, please update your title it is wrong.

Devourers attack does miss. Dodge, block, and evasion apply.

Evasion is rng for the first hit, and the % is not accurate (depends on enemy accuracy). Dodge/block are pure RNG

So you are just unlucky or unobservant if you don't see any misses
I get hit almost every time, no matter where I am. Devourer can be screen away, if it started uburrowing while I was close to him, I'll take damage. And after that point, they start popping up everywhere, without warning, just randomly appearing without the burrow animation.

+1

@OP
Stop spreading misinformation with that topic title please, you even posted a video that completely disproves your point.

Also accept the fact that some monsters are more dangerous than others, when faced on specific character builds. This is, I'd say, a primal attribute of every RPG/aRPG (quick example: illithids for low int melee characters in baldur's gate series). Adapt or die.
Removed the old information which was posted before the update and updated the title

My experience is the exact opposite. Although my dodge/eva char also has ~30% block; maybe that makes all the difference.

Also OP plays a bow ranger and simply stands there waiting for the hit to happen. Someone post a vid of them whirling across the map and see how often devourers connect then. My rig's too crappy to record videos.

After playing this game for quite some time I’ve noticed that devourers have ridiculously high chance to land successful hit. So I’ve decided to look more into it. Objective was to test evasion against devourers. If I ran away that would break the test. As you can see devourer lands successful hits abnormally often, even if I had 0 evasion rating and just 40% dodge, devourers chance to hit is still too good (based on practical test in video). Maybe there are some hidden mechanics which make this monster an unfair torture to people, because I don’t see any mods on this monster saying that it has greatly increased accuracy rating.

Don't make everyone watch the video to get a count. Do the count yourself and calculate the % yourself if you're saying devourers are broken. Keep the video posted as evidence.
