If you have rain at your hideout, you are a bad person

Poe executable is not even 64-bit, how much of a difference win7 64 would do compared to win 7 32?

a 64 bit operating system is capable of addressing more memory than a 32 bit os which is restricted to 4 gigabytes.

the poe exetutable itself being 32 bit means it can address 4 gigabytes memory max for it's own use but for this it's essential that the os is able to address more memory than these 4gb to run it's core, drivers and other softare and services in the background.

regarding the hardware requirements of poe:

- i would really like people like Arrowneous to do the last step to either spend the 10 million to ggg so they can blackmail the government to let talented people into nz without running a eugenic health preselection program on them first and then offer this team of highly specialised experts a comfortable working environment or stop bitching and comparing highly indebted multi million dollar companies to a small but independent studio in the hidden rain forest of auckland, living from donations from satisfied players.

- if you optimize your game so it runs on a toaster you also increase the amount of game instances a botting server can run.

it's all about balance and it's a good looking but poorly optimized game and it should look good in videos.
what's wrong about that?

if some people can't play it so be it, who hasn't got the money for a average gpu probably never buys microtransactions anyway.

My nomination for #1 Troll Post Unbefitting an Alpha Member.

PoE's graphic performance has deteriorated noticeably since Beta 1.0, and currently ratchets in a jerky manner on a cycle of about once a second. You can see this in PoE's F1 real-time performance chart, which on my system veers in abrupt spikes between ~60 and ~30 frames/sec. I run PoE full-screen on a Win7 3.2Ghz i7 hex-core system with an nVidia Quadro FX3800 graphics card, using an SSD for cache files.

The primary culprits in PoE's periodic graphic spikes appear to be aura effects, most recently Herald of Ice and Ash. It gets worse the more you zoom in, so it's not the overhead of rendering the 3D environment that's the problem. I have managed to minimize the graphic glitches with the following settings:

Shadow Quality: LOW
Antialiasing Quality: OFF
Post Processing: OFF

The rest of the graphic options had little effect on PoE's performance on my system.
