Some guy needed help with his...Warrior.

Yes, he asked for help with his warrior.

I love helping new players, giving out basic gems, but no offense to newbies but "warrior" had me laughing.

Fighter = Duelist

ehh it doesn't matter just thought it was a funny bit but you guys are not feeling up to the laughing part.

also PoE's characters are not "warriors" etc; they're their own being you can say; since a marauder can be a "mage" or "necromancer" and a which can be a "warrior/fighter"

they're just exiles, and unique entities.

Dont get hung up about what others call the classes here, its not like everyone plays POE since the dawn of time and has to know what everything is called. Besides, so many different arpgs but they all got the same classes really, so the paladin is a crusader is a templar and so on.

And classes here to have certain preset story elements like the witch for example being more or less the resident caster/necro type. Only because we can do anything with any class doesnt mean noobz have to know that. :)

Except the class names are spelled out on the Login Screen and everytime you level. The word Unique is never actually used in-game until Zana. Knwing the class names only requires you to read, knowing they're unique not legendary requires knowing the game.

Potato potato.
Actually Unique and Legendary is not "potato potato"

Following most MMO's logic, Legendary is ALWAYS better than the tier under it; take wow. Legendary items beat any epic item in that slot by a landslide, and always best in slot.

Uniques are basically just items that always have set affixes and sometimes affixes rare items cannot get.

Uniques are great for leveling, cheap "good" items, and sometimes expensive items that fit a certain Niche.

Noway are uniques best in slot though, a perfectly rolled Rare item would be BiS, so the unique legendary debate is closed.

Uniques are well Unique, each are unique and fill a unique purpose.
Legendaries are items that wipe the floor with every other item in that slot.

Closed case.

WoW's naming conventions are irrelevant to a Diablo-based ARPG. There are no "Legendary" items in PoE at all, so how exactly does it matter even a lick that WoW has them and that they mean this or that in WoW?

You're not in Azeroth anymore.
