Divining a 6 link +?

I read the wiki on the Divine Orb and it while it implies that using a Divine Orb does not reroll the sockets on an item, I wanted to be sure before I threw away the product of my best luck in POE yet (9 fuses for a 6 link!)

" A divine orb only changes the numbers of the rolls of an item. It in no way affects the sockets, be it in number, links, or color. I believe that it would consume the quality of an item for the chances of a better outcome, but I've never used one. | |
