If You Are Newer To This Game And Are Finding It A Little Difficult To Grasp, Check This Out

This game is truly amazing because of many reasons. One of which is the fact that it is so multifaceted that even seasoned veterans are still learning things about it. The learning process, here, never ends and when you get close to knowing everything, GGG patches/expansions and makes you learn more stuff. When you're new, all this complication can be frustrating, at times, and some players quit and move on before discovering that once you get going, the rewards, here, are great and the game starts to really rock.

There are many ways to beat this. One of which, is join a guild. I highly recommend anyone new here to do so. Not only will you get help with alot of the confusion, but you'll most likely get gear hookups and other helpful stuff. Not to mention, you'll have instant friends to play with.

There are also a few decent fan help sites out there which will help you get going. I will list a few which I feel are most helpful, especially for new players.

http://poe.trade/ This is your trading site. It has a searchable database to help you find exactly what you need. It will also give you an idea what things are worth.

http://www.poemarkets.com Same thing as above, but the interface/front end stuff is different. It does the same thing as xyz, though. Thanks Treffnix for adding this one.

http://exilebro.com/ I am finding this site to be very useful when I need to trade fast for some currency. I've had many successful trades here.

http://www.pathofexile.gamepedia.com This is the Wiki site for POE which is loaded with information to help you learn the game inside and out.

http://www.poebuilder.com This is a build calculator that will help you not make any build mistakes on your passive skill tree.

http://www.poepro.net/things-i-wish-i-knew-when-i-started-playing-path-of-exile/ This is really good for you new players so you won't make as many mistakes. I would check this one out for sure! Thanks to my fellow guild member Damaxxerous for adding this one.

Of course, the official POE site, which you are on, right now, is very helpful too. The forums are great here. You can get a lot of help from other players. Be sure and check out the entire menu of forums by clicking the forum button.

By the way, if you are scared of the passive tree, here, don't be. It's not as bad as it looks, at first. In fact, once you understand it, you'll most likely consider it the best skill/passive tree ever. It's really not that hard. It just looks that way at first.

I wouldn't go to pathofexilebuilds.com to have great build ideas. Most of the builds posted there are pretty garbage and the last submission is 3 months old.

I would look into watching some of ZiggyD's videos and guides he has some good ones for new players
