As for OP. Your method of playing is effective and still can generate a ton of currency. Get strong and grind Atziri. Or run maps very fast. You might be surprised. I've found at least 15ex and 10 divines in past 6 months and I'm a casual. Clear speed is overlooked too much IMO.
Gimping others to make yourself competitive is the wrong way to win.

I used to put my characters down here.
The list became so long, and I've had to DELETE over 50 characters to make room for others, that I've stopped updating it.
#firstworldproblems give me character slots free or WAY cheaper GGG ;(

You really shouldnt write "IIR/IIQ increases map drops" because thats not true. You will just confuse people. True, you can buy maps with currency from mapping, but the way you write it makes it a false statement.
At least i think thats what you meant, if you really think that IIQ does anything for mapdrops, you have been misinformed.

have to agree with the OP, solo player here that just came back after a 6 month hiatus and rolled a magic find summoner to start the new league.
had a blast on that toon, mowing down everything with my army and filling my bag 3 or 4 times with rares/uniques on every map. got rich quick, decided to roll a coc dagger shadow with some sick gear i had found. except now its boring as shit playing him because i went from a 330% iir toon to 20% iir one, im lucky now if i pick up 3 rares items on an entire map, and uniques might as well not exist. reminds me why i quit in the first place because its a loot hunting game with no loot. its either stack iir or dont play.

Also, map pools are really much easier to sustain now with FM and the intro of Ambush mod into the core game... like WAY easier than just a month or two ago.

Last time I quit it was a mix between everyone being Searing Bond and MFing, I think the lack of builds has been fixed quite well... but MF is still absolutely required to compete with people and get endgame gear.
Playing with or without MF is a choice, it seems you have made yours, yet are not happy with your decision? Maybe you should make a different choice?
Anyway, its all up to you to choose, just quit whining about your own choices, LOL.
