Tora quest unfinishable 8 of 16 monsters

In this Sceptor of God instance, monkeys with flame call have spawned right at the edge, and I encountered them before discovering any of the spoor trails. There are only 8 of 16 monkeys found in this level, and so I cannot finish the quest... -_-

So, they either have spawned on the other side of the wall, or something else is up.
