So after forwarding ports, resetting my router, modem and PC, I am still getting this same issue. Sometimes when trying to open PoE I get an error message that reads "Unable to connect to patch server". After a few tries I can actually load the game and then I will get stuck at the login screen with a "Unable to connect to server" message. Finally if I can make it into the game, if I try and move to a different zone I get the "failed to connect to instance" error.

Either something is messed up with your ISP/network, or you have something within your local network causing issues (either somethign on the PC, or some network equipment).
Make sure you've disabled all antivirus/firewall/security software, and also make sure you're running as admin by right-clicking Path of Exile and selecting "Run as Administrator". If you have a separate router and modem, you might also want to try hard-connecting into the modem directly to eliminate the router as a possible issue. Good luck. |
