Is it still possible to get 90% to all res before the use of flasks? Can't seem to get higher than 88% at best.

Yeah you can still reach 100% immunity.

legacy saffels + 1% from tree + 21 purities (with passives) will net you 90%.

90% isn't even needed as GGG left the flask nodes in, so really you only need to hit 87% which is even easier to do.

non-legacy saffels + lvl 20 purities (with passives) will net you the 87.

There's other combinations to hit the 87% mark as well.

why isn't there a hard max res cap yet?

I got 89 just by improving Auras throw passives.
