Is it just me or is this game a modern Diablo II??
if this isnt a diablo clone, then what is it? everything is just the same? Diablo 3 ftw!

Nothing is the same as diablo 2 nor diablo 1.... its just a normal typical rpg game.It has everything that the community wanted to have in rpg.And they said it their selfs. Theyv added alot of stuff that was bad in most rpgs.But the reson why are you comparing diablo 2 with this is game is that D2 was so popular that the games like d&d were forggoten(and dont forget d2 was a ripoff of those kinda games in the past so as the WoW that was ripoff of everquest) so plz stop comparing to any blizzard games...Coss the bizzard was the main industry that rippedoff many games as we know it... The only game that is original was Warcraft it self, not WoW, but warcraft.

d1/2 was great!
i especially liked the athmosphere in 1, and the gameplay and cinematics(marius!) in 2. (in d2 it took like a third of the budget and half of the developing time!!) really, the fmvs were(are) the best in a game ever. if poe could apply a little part of that athmosphere to itself(it is beta...), that would be awesome. dont wanna say anything about dumbeddown d3(oops). although....d1/2 were not that complex, either. hence the popularity/success...and d1 was for ps1... anyways, @ the topic: lets all pray it becomes a modern diablo2, since we propably will not see another(real) diablo from blizzard. |

Well, many people saying this is a modern d2. In my opinion, it's a game which one based on RPG 2,5 dimension. There's nothing at all dealing with d2 or similarities. All story and characters are unique specially skills tree. So, if you're looking for a mmo d2, this is not your place.

This guy couldn't have said it better. Something to do til D3 comes out. I mean what did they expect when they ripped 40% of the content from diablo. Is it free to play so blizzard doesn't sue? |

Im sure i'll enjoy D3 alot. I post regularly at diabloincgamers forum, but i sure as hell also think this game will give me significant pleasure ;-)
