Personally I don't agree with the idea of paying to vote. I guess my reasoning is that since the game is a F2P game I would imagine you would want all of your constituents to be able to vote on features for the game that they want to play. I think if this was a pay to play it would make sense to have people who are going to be paying anyway to vote on features. Just my thoughts. I welcome discussions. I think the reason you are feeling the disconnect between the character and the world is the somewhat un-noticed beginning story. The idea in the beginning is that you are a prisoner who is being exiled to another land. I personally do hope that there is some kind of back story given to the player before they find their self face down in the sand, maybe even via a text presentation. I think this small thing would give more of an idea on why you are on the beach. Side-note: I thought I remember hearing audio during character creation after a recent patch kinda telling you that you are being exiled. I play the game through the steam console. Gives me a clock and a web browser all without ALT+Tab. Join HSR -a group of action RPG fanatics! http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/19452 |
