I think that's a really nice idea.
Also it would decrease the whining about the colour bias of the sockets a bit. XD

Often you can do many things with the sockets you have, even if you have to use quite some orbs for them. However, sometimes you could socket it a bit different and more efficient if only this one socket would be red. Well, only the one socket isn't exactly an option with chromatic orbs.

Such a system could just get rid of this problem.

Also it would allow some new type of perfect gear that you can craft, or waste all your orbs trying to do so.
Imagine a high level Armour;Energy Shield helmet with 4 connected prismatic sockets.
You will never have to use an orb of chromatic on this thing again, no matter which character will use it.

I guess such items would be some of the most valuable in the game, even in a white state.

Hook

Active, Red

Throws a metal hook at an enemy and pulls the enemy to the attacker.
Basically Brutus' hook attack.
If more than 50% of the damage is blocked by armor the attack will only do damage.

50% decreased physical attack damage
10% chance to inflict bleeding
Mana Cost: 8

Level up:
-1% decreased physical attack damage -> lvl 20 -> 30% decreased physical attack damage
+1% chance to inflict bleeding -> lvl 20 -> 30% chance to inflict bleeding
Mana Cost: +2 -> lvl 20 -> Mana Cost: 48

Quality:
-0,5% decreased physical attack damage -> lvl 20 Q 20% -> 20% decreased physical attack damage
+0,5% chance to inflict bleeding -> lvl 20 Q 20% -> 40% chance to inflict bleeding

This might look pretty underpowered ... but in some necromancer encounters I actually wished I had something like that.
It should be red because it needs strength to pull an enemy.

Would be neat if the hook would basically be a projectile so we can use chain or multiple projectile.

I designed it to be a little underpowered at first. So you can't just perma-hook different enemies with several players and shit like this.
