Hi everyone,
I didn't really get into races in the first season, but really start to enjoy them more in Season 2. But what really bothers me is that I tend to not be able to make 90% of them.
Let me explain: My usual workday starts at 9:30am CEST and ends at 6:30pm CEST. So I pretty much have to leave my home at 8:45 and I am back at 7:15. During this time I can not compete in any of the races - that's clear, but I could make up some time in the time in between. The only option I have at the moment is rush home and make the usual 7pm CEST races - which is useless when it's a 1 hour race, because I miss about 15-20 minutes. Or play in the 11pm CEST ones, which is fine if it's a 1 or 2 hour one. If I play a 3 hour race I would have to stay up until 2am in the morning and would get about 5.45 hours sleep, which is not really a healthy lifestyle. :)
The problem is, that the 7pm CEST races usually are 1 hour races and there are no that many races at 11pm CEST. Which means for me in this week I will probably be able to attend in... one.
Before everyone goes at me and says "Europe is not the center of the world you idiot and who cares about your schedule anyway?", let me say one thing: I don't want to compete like Hardcore in all of the races, but for me as a usual employee it is close to impossible to play race seasons somehow competitive or get a chance to catch some of those nice rewards. I think there are a lot more people like me who would like to have some slight changes to the schedule, which won't affect that many people.
I think there are a few good ideas out there already (e.g. make races not have a certain time frame but a 24hour period in which you can play them, etc.) but just slight adjustments (put some 1hour ones to 11pm CEST or put more races into the schedule, even overlap events) would help the usual gamer.
I hope no one is offended by my little post here, but feel free to rant anyway. :)
Greetings from Berlin,
Schnech.
